제목 Comparison of Melt Systems of Ring and Linear Polyethylenes from Molecular Dynamics Simulations
초록 Dynamics of polymer melts were extensively investigated and there were many attempts to explain the experiments with various theories. Polymer melts have many unique characteristics compared to polymer solution. Those come from the fact that polymers are long molecules and they are subject to topological constraints. There are many theories to explain dynamics of polymer in melt systems such as Rouse theory and reptation theory. We studied the dynamics of polymer melt systems by comparing ring polyethylenes with linear polymers employing molecular dynamics simulations. We will discuss both the equilibrium structures and dynamic properties as function of chain length.
