제목 Control of Epitaxy Growth Affording High Electrical Performance of Organic Semiconductors
초록 With the aim of improving the field-effect mobility by promoting the crystalline structures of the organic semiconductor films, we used the epitaxial growth characteristics of copper phthalocyanine (CuPc) on para-sexiphenyl (p-6P) as the organic sublayer. To control the crystalline structure of the underlying p-6P, various SAMs such as ODTS, HMDS, PTS were treated onto the SiO2 dielectric surface. As a result, the improvements in the CuPc-FET performance appeared to be due to the controlled crystalline nanostructure and morphological structure of the p-6P underlayers, which affects the epitaxy growth of CuPc film. Furthermore, the CuPc-FETs fabricated on the PTS-treated case have field-effect mobilities that differ by more than a factor of 2 compared with the ODTS and HMDS cases. This surprising increase in field-effect mobility arises in particular for the epitaxial and interfacial matching effects between the CuPc/p-6P films and p-6P/PTS-treated surface, respectively.
