제목 Ethylene Oligomerizations by Phenoxy-imine Nickel(II) Complexes Cocatalyzed with Ethylaluminum Sesquichloride
초록 We synthesized the phenoxy-imine nickel (II) complexes (Fig. 1) which have been widely investigated since early 1960s, due to easy preparation and modulation of the structural and electronic characteristics by changing the nature of the substituents on the imino and aromatic moieties. We looked into the possibility of these complexes as catalysts being able to produce the target from polymer to α-olefins.
A series of phenoxy-imine nickel complexes were prepared by imine reaction with various diamine, salicylaldehyde and Ni(OAc)2·4H2O. In combination with an excess of EAS cocatalyst, they displayed moderate to high catalytic activities in ethylene oligomerization under a pressure of 1.3 bar at various temperature. The steric effects of the ligands on ethylene oligomerization, as well as the effect of reaction temperature and the effect of Al/Ni molar ratios were studied. Oligomer content was determined by GC analysis.
