Development of polymer composite membrane using functionalized graphene oxide with poly(benzimidazole) matrix for high temperature polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells |
초록 |
Polymer composite membrane was prepared using modified graphene oxide (ImGO) which contains imidazole structure on the surface of graphene oxide. ImGO was made by reaction of o-phenylenediamine with graphene oxide (GO). ImGO was mixed with poly[2,2'-(m-phenylene)-5,5'-bibenzimidazole] (m-PBI) in N,N-dimethylacetamide solution and was cast on glass plate with subsequent heating to 120oC. From the SEM images, ImGO composite membranes' better dispersive properties with m-PBI were confirmed. All the composite membranes exhibited improved membranes' properties such as oxidative stability, thermal stability and electrochemical properties compared to pristine PBI membrane. At 150oC under dehydrate condition, PBI/ImGO_0.5 composite membrane showed enhanced proton conductivity of 77.52 mS cm-1 which is 46.8% higher values than that of pristine PBI membrane. Therfore, PBI/ImGO composite membranes can be thought as a promising polymer electrolyte membrane candidate for HT-PEMFC application. |
