The enhancement of interfacial properties of electrode-electrolyte is important as high performance energy storages. Here we synthesize gel polymer electrolytes (GPEs) comprising trimethylolpropane ethoxylate triacrylate (ETPTA) and poly(ethylene glycol) methyl ether methacrylate (PEGMA) with a lithium salt solution (1M LiPF6 EC/DMC 1:1 (v/v)) using UV irradiation. Mechanical stability and ionic conductivities of GPEs can vary with the composition of ETPTA, PEGMA, and lithium salt solution. As GPEs having a high ionic conductivity (10-3 S/cm) seep in the inner area of electrode, the overall performances of the electrode increase due to good formation of interface between electrode and electrolyte. The GPEs with good mechanical strength are in between electrodes facing each other, it is significant for providing flexibility of energy storage device. |
