제목 Encapsulating of metal-organic framework (MOF) via post-synthetic modification and mineralization for drug delivery
초록 One of the most promising material is metal-organic framework (MOF), which is comprised of metal ions or clusters and organic linkers, due to its outstanding properties such as well-defined nanoscale pores within the frameworks. Their unique structures result in exceptionally high surface area and high loading capacity for drug. We investigated a non-hydrothermal method to fabricate NH2-MIL-88B(Fe) MOF as a form of uniform nanoparticles, and developed means to modify NH2-MIL-88B(Fe) MOF nanoparticles with anionic polymers. The abundant anionic functional groups can bind with cationic ions, such as calcium ions (Ca2+), and the interactions induce mineralization of calcium phosphate (CaP) on the surface of MOF. The formation of protective shell can not only protect MOF nanoparticles from external environment but also help pH-responsive controlled release of drug. Results of modification of MOF with polymers and controlled mineralization of CaP will be discussed.
