Effect of NiOx Hole Injection Layer Life Time in Polymer Solar Cell |
초록 |
In a viewpoint of life time in a polymer solar cell, the polymer material has drawbacks because of the weakness in oxygen and moisture. As one of promising polymer materials PEDOT:PSS has already been proven to be an effective hole injection layer. However, although PEDOT:PSS has been used widely in polymer solar cell, they have a limitation in applying the polymer solar cell because of hydrophilic characteristics. That is the PEDOT:PSS layer. So to improve the life time of polymer solar cell we selected NiOx as a hole injection layer instead of PEDOT:PSS layer. In addition, we investigated on “how the NiOx layer thickness and O2 plasma time effect on the life time of polymer solar cells”. NiOx layers were fabricated by oxygen plasma treatment which evaporate metallic Ni layer under the condition of 200 W and 100 sccm for 200 sec. In particular, the life time of NiOx layer in hole injection layer was compared with PEDOT:PSS layer and without hole injection layer. The maximum Power Conversion Efficiency (PCE) of 4.64% was obtained with the thickness of 0.3 nm NiOx layer. In addition, the PCE reduced 4.64% to 2.275% during 33 hours. For the sample, without hole injection layer, the PCE reduced 4.16% to 1.973% during 10 hours. Furthermore, PEDOT:PSS layer sample, the PCE reduced 5.645% to 2.713% during 26 hours. In conclusion, it was observed that the lifetime of NiOx layer as an hole injection layer was longer than that of PEDOT:PSS and without hole injection layer. |
