pH influence on the irreversible swelling/deswelling behavior of monodisperse hydrophilic poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) |
| 초록 |
In this study, swelling/deswelling properties of poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) having carboxyl acid group were investigated in different pH buffer solution. Monodisperse hydrophilic PAA particles crosslinked by ethylene glycol dimethacrylate(EGDMA) were prepared by distillation precipitation polymerization. Swelling/deswelling behavior was examined from the size differences of the PAA particles for various pH through the optical microscope (OM). And then the irreversible response of the PAA particles was observed via the pH cycling test of media. |
