제목 | Design and Synthesis of a Non-Fullerene Acceptor for Low Cost and High Performance P3HT - Organic Solar Cells |
초록 | Organic solar cells (OSCs) are considered as the third generation photovoltaic technology with the advantages of light weight, low-cost solution processing and flexibility. For devices performance and stability, non-fullerene acceptors (NFAs) have been studied and single junction NFAs’ efficiency exceeded 15%. However, pricy unit materials and high synthetic complexity of NFAs are obstacles for OSCs’ commercialization. For this, the polymer donor of poly(3-hexylthiophene)(P3HT) was selected for its simple synthesis and scalability. We newly designed and synthesized an amorphous NFA and it showed high yields of each synthesis steps. The amorphous property of NFA showed fine phase separation of acceptor-donor blends considering P3HT’s highly crystalline structure. Also, the NFA showed aligned energy levels and fine morphology that help to get high performance P3HT-OSCs. By introducing the newly designed acceptor, we could be approached commercialization of OSCs efficiently. |
