The UV-curable polyethylene oxide (PEO)-based urethane acrylate oligomers (PEO-UAO) were synthesized. The effects of the PEO molecular weight on the UV curing behavior, coating properties and anti-fogging performance were investigated according to the molecular weight (400, 600, 1000, 2000 g/mol) of PEO. The UV-curing behavior was studied by photo-differential scanning calorimetry (Photo-DSC). Coating properties such as pencil hardness, pendulum hardness, solvent resistance, and adhesion of the cured films containing PEO-UAO series were also investigated. The anti-fog properties of UV-cured coating were studied by contact angle test and anti-fog test. The results showed that the PEO molecular weight had a great influence on the anti-fog properties of UV-cured coating as well as coating properties. |
