In this study, we prepared the dual curable ink containing self-photoinitiating silicon acrylate (SPISA) and hyperbranced acrylate (HPBA) for contact lens. 2-Hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) mechanically mixed with 1-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone (VP) and Ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) as crosslink agent. Self-photoinitiating silicone acrylate (SPISA) has been synthesized specifically to meet the demanding product performance needs of ink for contact lenses. Also, HPBA was added to improve various properties including mechanical strength, transparency, pigment wetting, swelling, and curing. The curing behaviors of dual curable ink formulations containing SPISA and HPBA have been investigated by photo-differential scanning calorimeter (Photo-DSC). |
