In this paper, a large scale and facile process was proposed for fabricating uniform and cheap SnS2/CdS/Nb2O5. SnS2/CdS/Nb2O5 ternary photocatalysts were characterized by XRD, UVDRS, SEM, TEM, XPS, PL, RAMAN and FTIR analysis. Photocatalytic tests displayed that the SnS2/CdS/Nb2O5 possessed a higher rate of hydrogen production than SnS2 and Nb2O5 under solar light irradiation. The enhanced photocatalytic performance could be attributed to effective separation of photogenerated carriers driven by photoinduced potential difference generated at the tri-components interface. Repetitive tests showed that the SnS2/CdS/Nb2O5 maintained high stability over 5 cycles. |
