Recently, smart materials that have given new functionality to existing polymer materials have attracted many people. And the self-healing material also attracted many researchers as a species of smart material. In this study, we synthesized and characterized the self-healing material. Our self-healing concept used Diels-Alder reaction as reversible healing system. First, we synthesized furan modified polymer and prepared two types of bismaleimide for cross-linker. Then, various combinations of cross-linked films were prepared using the healing materials and their reversible property and self-healing ability were evaluated. For analytical instrument, we used proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectra for confirming the structures of synthesized materials and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy was used for confirming the reversible property of cross-linked film. Self-healing ability was studied by various measurements. The detailed results will be presented in conference. |
