제목 Steam Gasification of Pine-nut Shell in a Thermobalance and a Fluidized Bed Reactor
초록 Biomass has been known as an important renewable alternative energy resource. In this study, combustion and steam gasification kinetics of pine-nut shell chars were determined in a thermobalance reactor (0.055 m i.d. × 1.0 m high). From the Arrhenius plot, the activation energy and the pre-exponential factor of chars are determined based on the shrinking core model. For steam gasification reaction, activation energies and pre-exponential factors are found to be 71 kJ/mol and 0.0076s-1atm-1 in the reaction control regime, respectively and 11.2 kJ/mol and 0.00036s-1atm-1 in the pore control regime, respectively. The reaction order is found to be 0.77 with respect to H2 O partial pressure at 750oC. Also, the effects of gas velocity (2Umf - 4Umf) and bed temperature (650oC - 850oC) on gas composition, gas yield, cold gas efficiency and calorific value of the product gas have been determined in a fluidized bed reactor (10 cm id × 1.6m high) with feeding rate of pine nut shell at 1-3kg/hr. Carbon conversion, calorific value, cold gas efficiency and total product gas yield increase with increasing temperature from 700 to 900oC.
