Redox-Responsive Smart Window with Polarizability and Color Tunability |

An electrochromic (EC) smart window with optical anisotropy and redox-responsive bandwidth tunability was fabricated using a lyotropic reactive mesogen. The uniaxial orientation and subsequent polymerization of the lyotropic reactive mesogen can provide an optically anisotropic polymer network with color switching property. The mesogenic polymer network was applied to the electrochromic smart window as an anodic material. The color tunability and optical anisotropy of the fabricated smart window was evaluated.
