SSZ-13 has been considered as potential catalyst for selective reduction of NOx using either NH3.In this work, the location of the metal cation in SSZ-13 has been investigated because of its importance in catalysis.SSZ-13 zeolite has been synthesized hydrothermally at 413 K under stirring condition for 2 days using the gel composition of 5g sodium silicate : 0.16g NaOH : 12g H2O : 0.05g NH4-Y zeolite : 0.8g TMAAI which is N,N,N-trimethyladamantan-1-aminium.The as-made product was then calcined in air at 500℃ for 3 h for further ion exchange. After ion exchange, the xenon adsorption measurement is performed at various temperature to get the heat of adsorption. The comparison of the heat of adsorption and also the result of 129Xe NMR spectrum suggests the location of the exchanged metal ions depending on the oxidation state . |
