The Study on the Cure Behaviors and Mechanical Properties of Epoxy with Amine/Mercaptan Curing Agent |

In this work, the curing kinetics and mechanical properties of DGEBA(diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A)/amine adduct/mercaptan system were examined. Curing kinetics was evaluated by Kissinger's equation and mechanical properties were studied using a TMA and DMA. With increasing -SH functional group, the activation energies decreased and strating cure temperature depend on structure of mercaptan accelator. Strating cure temperature is lower and curing time is shorter than that without mercaptan. Also increasing mercaptan showed lower Tg and higher CTE. |
