Cellulose is the most abundant resource on earth, and cellulose nanofiber (CNF) has been actively researched as a bio-based material for optically transparent films, packaging material, biomedical scaffolds, hydrogels and aerogels and battery electrodes. In the presentation, the applicability of CNFs will be introduced to validify the multifunctionality of CNFs based on the results obtained recently. CNFs have been challenged in additive manufacturing as an ink composition for viscosity modification and reinforcement and a matrix in 3D printing of soft matter. Besides, ultra-lightweight foams, transparent cell culture plate, free form structuring and incorporation with living system based on CNFs will be briefly discussed in the presentation. |
