Surface modification of bone substitutes for the improvement of bone regeneration |
초록 |
Development of bone substitutes is one of the major fields in tissue engineering. Bone substitutes need to satisfy the mechanical and biological properties to stimulate bone formation. In particular, the surface property of the substitute is a critical factor that can determine the success of the substitute after implantation. Calcium phosphate including hydroxyapatite has been widely used as a coating material. We investigated to improve the biological functionality of the calcium phosphate coatings by association of organic compounds which can enhance bone regeneration activity. |
