This work reports the preparation of highly stable 2D perovskites and improving the surface performance by adding the low concentration of 3-ammonium propionic acid bromide (herein '3-APAB') as additive. The formation of 2D perovskite thin film deposited on SnO2/FTO was optimized by varying 3-APAB concentrations of 0-0.5 at.% and extensively characterized by FESEM, UV, PL, confocal imaging, XRD analysis. The presence of -COOH group in 3-APAB additive improved the good crystal quality as well the performance of the perovskite due to its high bonding ability. The morphological characterizations confirmed the growth of uniform, pinhole free and defects free in optimized 3-APAB(0.1 wt.%)/Cs0.05FA0.95PbI3/SnO2/FTO thin film. At 0.1% 3-APAB additive, the highly uniform grain size, good physical properties, and less defect concentrations were observed in a quasi 2D Cs0.05FA0.95PbI3 thin film. Herein, small addition of 3-APAB produced a high-quality quasi-2D perovskite film which resulted in improving the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of perovskite solar cell (PSC). |
