제목 | Cu-based electrocatalysts for CO2 reduction reaction |
초록 | Electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction (ECO2RR) to value-added products, such as CO, HCOOH, CH3OH, CH4, and so on, has gained considerable attentions as one of the most attractive ways. Copper (Cu) is unique and promising electrocatalyst, which can produce the useful hydrocarbons from CO2 and water at low overpotential. However, low product selectivity from electrochemical CO2 reduction on Cu electrodes is a severe weakness, since Hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and CO2 to various hydrocarbon conversions are thermodynamically and kinetically competitive. To overcome this challenge, catalyst modification strategies have been suggested including facet engineering, morphology control, defect engineering, and so on. In this work, we developed Cu-based electrocatalysts using multiple strategies for example, solid solution formation, morphology control, surface modification, and so on and how each modification affects electrochemical CO2 reduction performance. |
