Graphene oxide is a layered material obtained by chemical oxidation method from bulk graphite which was considered to have broad application and prospect development. It has recently gained much attention because of its low-cost and large-scale production advantage, novel mechanical and thermal properties. Strongly oxygenated and highly hydrophilic properties make graphene oxide be easily chemically modified and well dispersed into kinds of organic solvents. Due to functional side groups including hydroxyls, epoxides, and carboxyls bound to the surface and edges of graphene oxide, it easily interacts with the polymer matrix. In this study, poly(vinylidene fluoride) membrane was prepared by an electrospinning method. Graphene oxide nanosheets(GOn) was obtained via sonication from graphite oxide aqueous solution, which was synthesized by Hummers method. By sonication, GOn can dispersed well in dimethylformamide, and this can be used to modify the neat poly(vinylidene fluoride) membrane. |
