제목 Effect of compatibilizer on morphology and mechanical properties of polyketone/polycarbonate blends
초록 Polyketone (PK)/polycarbonate (PC) blends with poly(methyl methacrylate-co-maleic anhydride) (poly(MMA-co-MA)) were prepared via melt-blending. Poly(MMA-co-MA) containing 10 wt% MA was synthesized by free radical copolymerization. The incorporation of poly(MMA-co-MA) into PK/PC blends improved dispersion of PC particles in PK matrix and enhanced interfacial adhesion between PK and PC by the reaction of maleic anhydride with hydroxyl end groups of PC. Effect of poly(MMA-co-MA) on mechanical properties of PK/PC blends was investigated by tensile test and Izod impact test. Interfacial adhesion between PK and PC was changed by embedding poly(MMA-co-MA), and then affect impact resistance of PK/PC blends. The double-notch four-point bending (DN-4PB) Charpy impact technique was used to study the impact-toughening mechanisms of the PK/PC blends. The result of DN-4PB tests showed that the formation of massive crazes around crack tip is responsible for the improved impact resistance.
