제목 Quiescent and Shear Induced Crystallization Behavior of Poly(Trimethylene Terephthalate) with Sillica Nanoparticle
초록 The isothermal crystallization behavior of poly(trimetylene terephthalate) (PTT) with silica nanoparticles was investigated. Isothermal crystallization in DSC capsule showed that silica nanoparticles acted as nucleating agent for PTT and decreased the half time for crystallization. The incorporation of silica nanoparticles in PTT caused the crystallization temperature (Tc) to increase by ca. 200C and the size of the crystals to decrease. And the increase of content of silica nanoparticles figured decrease of equilibrium melting temperature. The critical content of silica nanoparticles conformed to 1 wt% for the efficiency of nucleation effect. Isothermal crystallization under dynamic shear exhibited similar crystallization behavior with quiescent crystallization. On the whole an increase of shear rate increased the crystallization rate of PTT.
