Phthalocyanine is an intensely coloured macrocyclic compound that is widely used in dyeing. Halogenated derivatives of copper phthalocyanines are commercially important. Halogenated copper phthalocyanine has been used as automobile finish, ink toner. LCD color filter material, etc. In this study, a halogenated copper phthalocyanine was synthesized at various time and temperature by halogenation of copper phthalocyanine in the presence of teterachlorophthalic anhydride, teterabromophthalic anhydride, CuCl, amoniummolybdate, urea, 1,2,4-trichlorobenzen. The crude sample was grounded up to nano scale in various solvent through ball-milling. The properties of halogenated copper phthalocyanine was analyzed by the means of XRD, XRF, FT-IR, and TEM. |
