Piezoelectricity of Electrospun Nanofiber Webs of Polyvinylidene Fluoride–Partially Sulfonated Poly(1,4-phenylene sulfide) Blends |
초록 |
Partially sulfonated poly(1,4-phenylene sulfide) [sPPS] with increased polarity and solubility in polar solvents like N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone was used as a blend component with piezoelectric poly(vinylidene fluoride) [PVDF]. Compared to the neat PVDF, PVDF-sPPS (4:1 ratio) blend films prepared by casting from 15 wt.-% solution using NMP:MEK mixture (9:1) exhibited higher β-crystalline phase content, which is moresuitable for piezoelectric sensor applications. The blend solution was further electrospun under controlled conditions. The nanofiber web was used to fabricate piezoelectric sensor and its piezoelectric output signal was measured by imparting periodic dynamic pressure on the sensor. The neat PVDF nanoweb-based pressure sensor generatedalternating current, whereas the PVDF/sPPS blend case showed half-wave rectified current. The interaction mechanism between the PVDF and sPPS is studied in detail. Acknowledgement: This work was supported by MOTIE (Grant No. 10047976). |
