제목 Pilot tests determine the influence of offshore condition on CO2 capture performance of an Amine-Based Acid Gas Removal Units
초록 LNG-FPSO is one of the promising technologies in natural gas industry. Because it is exposed to offshore condition, fluids in a topside processes can suffer mal-distribution. Therefore, understanding the offshore effect on performance of the processes should be studied and considered at the column design stage to prevent a process from off-specification.  
In this study, we focused on the performance of Absorber in AGRU under offshore conditions. Amine/CO2 gas system experiment was carried out using a pilot scale column. Activated-MDEA was used as a solvent for the experiment. 133 mm ID column with total 4.2 m packed height composed of 3 beds was employed. Representative offshore conditions were selected to permanent tilt from 1 to 6 degree and roll motions with period of 15 s ~ 30 s.  
Aspen plus simulator was used to investigate and quantify the influence of offshore condition. Volumetric mass transfer coefficient was choose to show the offshore effect. In addition, our group was carried out NaOH/air experiment in another pilot plant. Studies of the difference in offshore effect between NaOH/air system and Amine/CO2 system was also presented.
