Quantum dots (QDs) are semiconductor particles that have a few nanometers in size, having various optical and electronic properties. Because of their bandgap tunability and narrow emission linewidth, they can be utilized for display area. Especially, InP based QDs are synthesized broadly, including non-heavy metal for luminescence device application. However, InP based QDs have several problems that have low blue light absorption for green emitting region in photoluminescence device and thermodynamically instability in blue emitting region for electroluminescence device. Therefore, we synthesized luminescent blue or green emitting In(Ga)P based QDs via hot injection. incorporation of Ga into InP lattice reduces the lattice mismatch with wider band gap shell materials, making the material less strained. This will be beneficial for reducing the trap centers and suppressing down Auger recombination. In(Ga)P QDs with controlled composition can be well utilized in luminescence device. |
