제목 Preparation and Characterization of Branched Poly (ethylene terephthalate)s (PETs)
초록 This study deals with the preparation and characterization of branched poly (ethylene terephthalate)s (PETs). Branched PETs were prepared in the presence of branching agent by employing in-situ polymerization and reactive extrusion method. The effect of post solid-state polymerization (SSP) and/or the introduction of branching agent on the molecular weight and physical properties of branched PETs were investigated using dynamic oscillatory viscometer (ARES), intrinsic viscosity (IV), and Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC). Resulting branched PETs exhibited more solid-like character and higher zero shear viscosity than linear PET, which may be due to the effect of high molecular weight and branches. Also it confirmed that post-SSP method led to branched PETs with increased molecular weight.
