제목 Single wall carbon nanotube dispersion and self-assembly of inorganic nanoparticles in block copolymer nanocomposite films
초록 Self assembly of block copolymers containing inorganic nanoparticles leads to a wide variety of nanoscale building blocks with various geometries. The use of polystyrene-block-poly(vinylpyridine) and polystyrene-block-poly(acrylic acid) block copolymers is described to assist the dispersion of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs). The block copolymer systems offer unique metal (Au, Ag) and metal oxide (TiO2 and Fe2O3) nanoparticle morphologies through self-assembly and encapsulation method. The interaction between nanoparticles and SWNTs affect significantly the particle size of bimetallic arrays. The block copolymer composite containing nanoparticles and SWNT also offer an exciting scope for controlling light at the nanoscale via morphology-controlled resonances associated with surface plasmon modes of nanoparticles.
