To obtain a better light-responsing range of polymer solar cells (PSCs), conjugated polymers with a smaller band gap were applied to PSCs. Recently, silole-containing polymers with a low band gap and high mobility have been reported to show promising charateristics as materials for PSCs. In this study, two kinds of silole-containing polymers, poly{[4,4’-bis(2-ethylhexyl)dithieno(3,2-b;2’,3’d)silole]-2,6-diyl-alt-(2,1,3-benzothidiazole)-4,7-diyl} (P1) and poly{[4,4‘-bis(2-hexyl)dithieno(3,2-b;2’,3’d)silole]-2,6-diyl-alt-(2,1,3-benzothidiazole)-4,7-diyl} (P2) are prepared and applied in a series tandem architecture. In addition, we investigated how the tandem concepts are well demonstrated in our tandem structures with solution-processed interlayers. |
