Facile synthesis of size-tunable SiO2/TiO2/SiO2 core-double shells nanoparticles and their application to photocatalytic activity |
초록 |
The development of a facile synthesis of size-tunable nanoparticles to prepare uniform core shell structures is urgent for realizing photocatalytic application. We virtually synthesized size tunable SiO2 nanoparticle and covered TiO2 shell. This is the report on extending the classic Stober method to rationally control the hydrolysis and condensation of tetraethyl orthosilicate and titanium tetraisopropoxide into water/ammonia mixtures. To prevent phase transformation from annatase to rutile and unchange the photocatalytic activity, the surface of annatase TiO2 was modified by SiO2. Therefore we keep their photocatalytic properties. |
