제목 | Fabrication and Characterization of ZnS Powders by Glycothermal Process using Various Sulfur Source |
초록 | In recent years, nanostructured materials have attracted a great deal of attention in the last few years due to their unique properties. ZnS is an important Ⅱ-Ⅵ semiconductor with widely a band gap (3.7 eV) at room temperature. ZnS exists in two crystal structures, zinc-blende and wurtzite. Typically, the stable phase structure at room temperature is zinc blende. ZnS has been studied as functional parts in visible-blind ultraviolet (UV) photodetectors owing to its excellent optoelectronic properties. ZnS is an excellent material for applications such as photocatalysis, photoconductors and ultraviolet sensor. In this study, the ZnS were synthesized with different sulfur sources by a glycothermal process using glycol solvent at various reaction temperatures. Zinc acetate dihydrate as the zinc source, and thiourea and thioacetamide as the sulfur sources were used, respectively. The effect of sulfur sources on the formation of ZnS structures was fully studied on the basis of characterization results. The obtained ZnS powders were characterized using XRD, FE-SEM, and UV-Vis Spectrometer. |
