제목 Ion Conducting Behaviors of Polymeric Composite Electrolytes Containing Imidazolium Salts as Additive Materials
초록 A poor room-temperature conductivity and slow ion transfer of electrolytes based on high-molecular weight polyethylene oxide (PEO) have impeded development of lithium-ion batteries with solid electrolytes. To improve the ion conductivity of polymer electrolytes, composite polymer electrolytes having additives were considered. By preparation of composite electrolytes containing nano-size ceramic fillers or organic materials, the electrochemical and mechanical properties can be improved. On the other hand, some imidazolium salts are studied for a modification of ion transfer behaviors of electrolytes.
In this work, the conducting polymer composite electrolytes were made by using poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO), ethylene oxide oligomers and imidazolium salts. The influence of oligomers having a different molecular weight and imidazolium salts as additives on the ionic conductivities and the interfacial characteristics was analyzed. They were determined by the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), DSC, and XRD methods. It can be found that the ionic conductivity of the composite electrolytes showed improved behaviors due to the decreased crystallinity and better ion transfer by addition of additive materials.
