In order to improve the efficiency of the dye-sensitized solar cells, the superior electrons transporting medium has been realized. The random nanoparticles network limits the electron mobility due to scattering and trapping of electrons. So, in order to improve the electron mobility, aligned TiO2 nanotubes were prepared by anodization in fluoride containing electrolytes. In this work, we have used anodizing solutions. One is made of KF in deionized water and the other is NH4F in ethylene glycol(EG). It is observed that for the case of NH4F in EG, the nanotube was longer than KF in DI water. It is found that the addition of a little amount of water in EG is even more effective to make longer nanotubes. We have realized that sonoelectrochemistry is more effective to synthesize TiO2 nanotubes than electrolyte in electrochemistry.
