Coal gasified fuel cell power generation (IGFC), which uses coal as a fuel at high temperature and high pressure globally, is attracting attention. However, the sulfur compounds generated by gasification of coal may cause catalyst poisoning of the fuel cell and should be controlled to several ppm or less. Therefore, in this study, we sought catalysts for COS removal, one of the sulfur compounds that cause catalyst poisoning. Based on WO3, which is well known for its excellent reactivity with sulfur (S), a Group 2 metal was added to enhance gas adsorption. Catalysts with MWO4 (M = Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba) structures were synthesized according to the Group 2 metals. The physicochemical properties of the synthesized catalysts were analyzed by XRD, BET, SEM, and COS removal was carried out at 200 ~ 400 ℃. The COS adsorption capacity of the catalyst and the gas produced after the reaction were analyzed using Mass. |
