Highly efficient plasmonic organic optoelectronic devices based on conducting polymer electrode incoporated with metal nanoparticle |
초록 |
We demonstrate the enhanced electromagnetic field of active layer and conductivity of conducting polymer electrode by using the randomly dispersed silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) for the polymer solar cells (PSCs) and polymer light emitting diodes (PLEDs). Ag NPs are synthesized from reducing agent, N-methyl-pyrrolidone (NMP) and the Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) film doped with Ag NP in NMP (Ag:NMP-PH500 film) shows high conductivity of 450 S/cm in comparison with a value of PEDOT:PSS film doped with NMP (322 S/cm). Furthermore, the device performances of the PSC and PLED with Ag:NMP-PH500 electrode show the power conversion efficiency(PCE) from of 4.31% and power efficiency of 8.4 lm/W, respectively. This enhancement in both PSC and PLED could be attributed to enhanced electromagnetic field in active layer by SPR effect and reduced series resistance from the improved conductivity caused by Ag NPs with excellent optical and electrical properties. |
