Excess enthalpies for n-alkane + 1-alkanol were measured with an isothermal microcalorimeter at 298.15K and 313.15K. N-alkanes considered in this work were n-octane, n-nonane and n-decane and 1-alkanols were ethanol, 1-propanol and 1-butanol. Measured Excess enthalpies with an isothermal microcalorimeter were found to be positive and to increase with temperature. Measured values were compared with values calculated using nonrandom lattice fluid hydrogen bonding (NLF-HB) models. Both vapor-liquid equilibrium (VLE) and the excess enthalpy data were simultaneously fitted using NLF-HB EoS with a set of binary interaction parameters. Excess enthalpies calculated with NLF-HB were in good agreements with experimental data for all systems considered. |
