제목 Various Viruses Detection using Quantum Dots and Magnetic Beads Immobilized Silica Nanoparticles
초록 We developed highly sentitive and various detection system for viruses using quantum dots and magnetic beads. There are lots of detection methods, however the current methods require pre-processing, complicated procedure and show low sensitivity. Sensitivity is critical for detecting contagious desease. Because the spread of fetal viruses is related to high mortality. Multiple quantum dots(QDs) embedded silica nanoparticles showed 500 times stronger luminous intensity than a single QDs. To detect streptavidin, ligands conjugated biotin are immobilized and the detection range is confirmed from 1 μM to 10 zM. To compare sensitivity with polymerase chain reaction (PCR), we used H1N1 influenza virus with the detection range of 1.9 × 10-4 to 3.2 hemagglutination unit (HAU)/mL for medical application. It has 5000 times higher sensitivity than conventional hemocytogram. Also, it showed possibilities to apply a wide range of medical field due to its high sensitivity and simple procedure.
