Atom transfer radical polymerization of styrene-co-acrylonitrile onto the multiwalled carbon nanotubes in supercritical carbon dioxide |
초록 |
Atom transfer radical polymerization(ATRP) was applied to poly styrene-co-acrylonitrile(SAN) grafted onto the convex surfaces of multiwalled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs) in supercritical carbon dioxide(scCO2). Dispersion polymerization of styrene(St) and actylonitrile(AN) in scCO2 at 180 bar and at 70℃ with (2-hydroxyethyl 2-bromoisobutyrate) as an initiator was investigated. Thermogravimetric analysis showed that effective functionalization was achieved with the grafting approach. The grafted SANs on the MWCNT surface were characterized with Fourier transform infraqred spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance |
