제목 Ultrasonic coating and controlled release behavior of sirolimus-loaded biodegradable polymers containing various additives for stent
초록 CypherTM stent fabricated from sirolimus (SRL) and non-biodegradable polymers, poly(ethylene-co-vinyl acetate) (PEVA) and poly(n-butyl methacrylate) (PBMA), has used for inhibiting proliferation of smooth muscle cells (SMCs) induced from injury after stent implantation. Little work has been reported about the fabrication of SRL-loaded stent coated with biodegradable polymers (e.g. PDLLA, PLLA, and PLGA) and the behavior of drug-release profile from the stent. The reaction mechanism of SRL is explained that SRL combined with FK506-binding protein stops the late G1 phase of cell cycle, resulting in inhibiting the proliferation of SMCs. This study aims to understand the release kinetics of SRL from biodegradable polymers containing some additives such as PEG-derivatives, so the solution of SRL-loaded polymer was coated on stainless steel (SS) by ultrasonic spray. The coating surface of SS was characterized with SEM and their drug-release kinetics was analyzed with HPLC.
