We report on the synthesis and characterization of a series of indeno[1,2-b]fluorene-based copolymers derived from 2,1,3-benzothiadiazole(BT), 4,7-bis(2-thienyl)-2,1,3-benzothiadiaz ole (DBT) and indeno[1,2-b]-fluorene (IF) by Suzuki Coupling reaction for applications in white PLEDs. The emitted color was successfully modulated by changing a feed ratio of three components, resulting incomplete fluorescence energy transfer. The thin films of the copolymers show white PL spectra via incomplete fluorescence resonance energy transfer from IF to BT and DBT. White-light electroluminescence from a single polymer has been obtained in a device with a configuration of ITO/PEDOT:PSS/polymer/Ca/Al. The device exhibits Commission Internationale de l’Eclairage (CIE) coordinates of (0.34, 0.35), a maximum brightness of 4088 cd/m2, a current efficiency 0.36 cd/A and relatively stable color coordinates at different driving voltages. |
