제목 Time Resolved Synchrotron SAXS/WAXS Studies on Crystallization of Ultrahigh Molar Mass Polyethylene Films
초록 The Ultrahigh Molar mass polyethylene (UMM PE) films of monoparticle thick were prepared by melt pressing UMM PE powder at 300C for 10 mins. They do not have SAXS peaks. The film was homogenized at 155 C for 5 min. The film sustained its shape even at above the equilibrium melting point (145.5C) By placing the film in an jumping cell with predetermined temperatures, the time resolved SAXS/WAXS measurements were conducted with the sampling time of 15 sec.
The homogenization conditions were sufficient for the UMM PE sample without SAXS/WAXS peaks. The thick films exhibited the prominent crystal thickening during melting and crystallization. The thin film rarely exhibited crystal thickening during crystallization.
