Synthesis and Characterization of Biodegradable Molecular Imprinted Polymers |
초록 |
The molecular imprinting technique is mainly composed of creating a polymer matrix with predetermined selectivity for recognizing special molecules. Molecular imprinted polymers (MIPs) are produced by polymerizing a mixture of target molecules (templates), functional monomers which can interact with the templates, and an excess of inactive cross-linkers which can be polymerized with the functional monomers. MIPs can be used as special artificial materials(in the areas of separation, catalysis, microreactor, sensors, and drug delivery) because they have high affinity and selectivity. In this study, poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) based macromers were synthesized to use as crosslinkers for fabrication of biodegradable MIPs. 1H-NMR and IR spectra confirmed that the PCL macromers had acrylated functional groups. In the presence of theophylline as template molecules, we synthesized MIPs by UV photopolymerization. We characterized the performance of the MIPs by measuring their sensitivity and selectivity to theophylline. |
