Mimics of Cu Substituted Co1-xCuxMoO4 Nanohybrids as Efficient Catalyst for Hydrolysis of NaBH4 |

Catalytic hydrolysis of chemical hydrides with the use of NaBH4 is a safe and efficient way to provide hydrogen fuel for new energy vehicles and portable electronics devices. In this work we have prepared a series of Co1-xCuxMoO4 hybrids by hydrothermal method. The resultant hybrids were characterized to confirm the structural and physical-chemical properties by analytical techniques (FTIR, XRD, FE-SEM). Catalytic activity of Co1-xCuxMoO4 hybrids were investigated by hydrolysis of NaBH4. It is found that there is synergetic effect between CoMoO4 and CuMoO4. Among those Co0.9Cu0.1MoO4 shown highest catalytic activity of 301.72 H2 gcat-1min-1 within 10 min. at room temperature. Additionally, Co0.9Cu0.1MoO4 catalyst shown good recyclability making it a robust catalyst for hydrolysis of NaBH4. |
