Effect of Extracellular Matrix on PLGA Film to Rabbit Corneal Endothelial Cells |

Nothing is worse than performing surgery to recovery CE. But, donor number is restricted. To overcome it, the in vitro trial to culture cells on proper scaffolds becomes promising method. PLGA is biocompatible and biodegradable, and has transparency when it fabricated films. CE is mono-inner cell layer of cornea and lay on DM which comprised of various proteins called ECM. In this study, we investigated the rabbit CEC with PLGA film surfaces coated with various cell-adhesive molecules like fibronectin, laminin, collagen type IV and I and FNC coating mix to increase cell-cell interaction, and cell-film interaction, and to encourage cell behaviors. We studied morphologic images, proliferation and adhesion assay, IF and RT-PCR. The results showed that the behaviors of rabbit CEC were affected by cell-adhesive molecules.
