In this study, urethane acrylate anionic emulsion resins (UAAER) were synthesized from 2,4-toluene diisocyanate (TDI), poly(tetramethylene)glycol (PTMG), dimethylolpropionic acid (DMPA) and 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA). After urethane acrylate anionic resins (UAAR) were dispersed into water, physical properties were investigated by changing the molar ratio of polyol (PTMG) and dimethylol propionic acid (DMPA). As the content of DMPA in UAAR increased, the particle size decreased. The structures of the synthesized UAAER were confirmed using by fourier transform infrared (FT-IR). Thermal properties were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). |
