Enhancing Stability of Tungsten-Doped Vanadium Dioxide Nanomaterials with Core/Shell Structure |
초록 |
Synthesizing of vanadium dioxide (VO2) with tungsten is good way to decrease the metal-insulator phase transition (MIT) temperature around 68°C to room temperature. The resulting of it makes WxVO2 as an ideal substance for thermochromic window materials by reflecting near‒infrared light at room temperature while transmitting visible light. Another issue of VO2 is chemical stability. For the application to thermochromic windows, nanoparticles of VO2 are highly required to have strong thermostability and chemical stability in order to use outdoor or environmental temperature variation. In this study, we synthesize VO2 with vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) and oxalic acid (OA). Then make VO2-SiO2 core/shell with tetraethoxysilane (TEOS). SiO2 shell prevents the VO2 from changing to V2O5 due to oxidation. We investigated the influence of TEOS on the thermostability and chemical stability of tungsten-doped vanadium oxides. |
