제목 Development and applications of real-time cell density monitoring device for microalgae mass cultivation
초록 In order to reduce carbon dioxide, researchon mass culture of microalgae, a photoautotrophic microorganism, has beenactively conducted. In order to scale up the microalgae culture process, theautomation of the process is necessary. Although many devices have beendeveloped to automatically monitor the cell concentration in thephotobioreactor, they mainly use a pump and a flow cell. This method has aproblem in that the possibility of contamination increases because electricenergy is required to drive the pump and a separate tube must be attached tothe photobioreactor. To overcome these problems, a device that can measure thecell density in real time by attaching it to the outside of the photobioreactorwas developed. This device was able to measure the cell density with anaccuracy similar to that of a UV-vis spectrometer. In addition, the cell growthpattern according to the circadian cycle was confirmed by measuring the microalgalcell density in outdoor.
