Flexible Hybrid Photodetector Based on Silver Sulfide Nanoparticles and Multi-walled Carbon Nanotubes |

Silver sulfide nanoparticles (Ag2S NPs) have been extensively studied currently as attractive near infrared (NIR) absorbing NPs due to their unique absorption and emission properties in the NIR regions and high biocompatibility. In this paper, the nanocomposite based on multi-walled carbon nanotubes and Ag2S NPs (CNT-AN) was synthesized successfully via a simple one-step solution process using ultrasonic irradiation. The optimized synthesis of CNT-ANs for effective NIR detectors was found by adjusting the Ag2S proportion in CNT-ANs, and the NIR detectors based on CNT-ANs were characterized under light expositions at different wavelengths and photo power densities. Our NIR detectors based on the CNT-ANs shows an excellent photoresponse value of 278.22 W/A under a light exposure with a power density of 0.15 mW/cm2 and 800 nm wavelength. Our optimized synthetic method of CNT-ANs allowed us to improve the physical flexibility and sensitivity of photodetector, and the properties of these exhibits excellent ability. The synthesis methods and optoelectronic properties suggest a facile and efficient approach for fabricating hybrid optoelectronic devices for various applications, including flexible devices and advanced wearable sensors. Furthermore, it could be a replacement for previous devices based on heavy metal materials. |
